From Field to Bottle Within Nine Miles

Everything begins in our own fields.

Our award-winning English potato vodka is crafted from Lady Claire potatoes grown in the rich agricultural soils of North Yorkshire - land our family has farmed for four generations.

By keeping every stage within a nine-mile radius - from cultivation and harvest to distillation and bottling - we retain complete control over quality, character and sustainability.

This is vodka with provenance: a true field-to-glass spirit shaped by place, patience and precision.

Our Story

Nine Tines was founded by two families brought together by a shared belief in doing things properly - with respect for the landscape, for legacy and for craft.

Working with our own potatoes is the key to our vodka. When you start with exceptional ingredients and take care at every stage, you create something unmistakably unique.

We farm responsibly, never pushing the land beyond what it can naturally give, and using renewable energy and our own spring water.

Small batches allow us to remain hands-on and exacting, refining texture, balance and purity until the spirit is exactly as it should be.

This is not about making more.
It is about making it better.

One thing. Perfected.

And our name…

Since the potato sits at the heart of everything we do, it felt only right that it should shape our name.

‘Nine Tines’ is a nod to the traditional potato fork - known as a sippit - used to gently move the crop. With its nine rounded prongs, it was designed to protect the precious harvest.

A simple tool, perfected over time.
