Spring arrives gently on the Nine Tines farm, and then all at once. The landscape shifts from muted winter tones to something altogether more alive - bluebells carpeting the woodland floor, vibrant yellow rapeseed stretching across the fields, and fresh green shoots beginning to emerge.

It’s a busy, hopeful time. April marks the start of potato planting season - arguably the most important moment in our year. Because at Nine Tines, great vodka doesn’t begin in the distillery.
It begins in the soil.

As an English potato vodka, everything starts with how and where we grow. Planting is done carefully and without compromise, guided by the rhythms of the seasons and a belief in doing things properly. Our approach is rooted in regenerative farming - supporting soil health, encouraging biodiversity, and working with nature rather than against it.

We keep everything close. The potatoes used to make Nine Tines travel less than nine miles from field to distillery, grown on our farm in North Yorkshire using our own water and renewable energy. It’s a simple approach, but a deliberate one. Fewer steps. Less movement. More focus on what matters.

That focus defines the vodka itself. Starting with carefully-grown potatoes allows us to create a spirit that is clean, smooth and balanced - whether served as a classic martini, a vodka and tonic, or simply over ice.

There’s nothing accidental about it. Every decision, from planting through to distillation, is made with the same intent: to do one thing, and to do it exceptionally well.

Spring is where it all begins. In the soil, in the field, and in the quiet work that shapes everything that follows.

One thing. Perfected.
