Vodka is known for being clean, pure and neutral. But what sits behind that clarity is rarely questioned. Unlike Nine Tines, most vodka isn’t made from scratch - it begins as a mass produced neutral spirit, which is bought in and bottled at scale. It’s efficient, consistent, and widely accepted. But for a premium English vodka, that isn’t where the story should begin.
At Nine Tines, everything begins with the ingredient. Potatoes grown in our own fields in North Yorkshire, on land we’ve farmed for generations. This is potato vodka, made from scratch - a true farm to bottle vodka, where every stage happens within nine miles. Not because it’s easier, but because it gives us complete control. When you start at the beginning, every decision that follows matters.
That difference is something you can taste. Where many vodkas are designed to remove character, ours is carefully refined to preserve it. Potato vodka brings a natural softness and texture - a balance that comes not from adding more, but from taking less away. Distilled slowly, filtered patiently, and finished only when it’s exactly right.
Making vodka this way takes more - more time, more care, more attention at every stage. But if you’re only going to do one thing, it should be done properly.
