While gardens across Yorkshire are bursting with colour and life, here on the farm we're watching and waiting for a different kind of bloom: the delicate white flowers of our potato plants. These fleeting blossoms are more than just a pretty sight — they signal that harvest is on the horizon.
This year, an unusually warm and dry start to the season means our potato harvest will arrive earlier than expected. We’ve been grateful for the few days of much-needed rain — a welcome pause in the sunshine that’s helped keep the fields healthy and the soil just right. As ever, nature sets the pace, and we work in rhythm with it.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy crafting a fresh batch of our award-winning potato vodka. Made in small batches on our North Yorkshire farm, Nine Tines is an English vodka that’s rooted in tradition and refined through craftsmanship. From our Lady Claire potatoes to the pure Yorkshire spring water we use, every drop of our vodka is created with care — by hand, from field to bottle.
We’re also getting everything ready for our summer show season, and we can’t wait to meet you out and about. From the Great Yorkshire Show to the Harrogate Food and Drink Festival, we’ll be sharing samples, serving cocktails, and talking all things craft, sustainability, and flavour.
So as the landscape blooms, so too does our dedication to the craft — rooted in nature, distilled with care, and ready to be enjoyed this summer. Whether you're discovering us for the first time or returning for your favourite English vodka, we’ll raise a glass to that.
